Lord Mayor's Gala Charity Fundraiser

March 2024

The Lord Mayor's Gala Dinner in aid of the Bristol Children's Appeal (previously known as the Christmas Children's Appeal) was a wonderful success again this year. 

Our Lord Mayor Paul Goggin gave a wonderfully personal speech, and it was great to see so many members of the Guild there. We are sure that a huge amount of money was raised for the charity and we're looking forward to being able to contribute even more over the year. 

Tour of the Lord Mayor's Chambers

January 2024

Thank you to all of you who joined us for the first event of 2024, our exclusive tour of the Lord Mayor’s Chambers.
The Lord Mayor’s team were wonderful hosts,showing us around the twin city rooms, the council chamber, the conference room and the chamber
itself where we go to admire all the wonderful treasures. This gave us a wonderful insight into the twinning work being done, and revealed new
possibilities for ways we can support this worthwhile civic activity.

Christmas Carols at The Lord Mayor's Chapel

December 2023

In December The Rev Mandy Ford conducted a wonderful Christmas Carol service for us at the Lord Mayor's Chapel. This candlelit service is always a highlight of the year, and this time was no exception. Afterwards we gathered at St George's Bristol for a festive drink and nibble to welcome in the season with fellow guild members. 

Annual Dinner at The Mansion House

November 2023

Our annual dinner took place on 22nd November. Our Master from 2022/23 handed over to this years Lead Guardian Donna Speed. It was a fabulous celebratory evening at The Mansion House with wonderful food, drink and even poetry! Our thanks go out to Bill for his incredible contribution during the year, and we welcome Donna for 2023/24.
